Hello there, Welcome!
Bio – Denise Rud grew up in Eau Claire Wisconsin. Attended high school at Hillcrest Lutheran Academy in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, where her love for art developed. After high school she attended travel school instead of college and moved to Iowa to work for an airline until they closed in 2014. September 11th slowly destroyed that career, which led her to the tool and die industry. Later she graduated from NIACC in 2016 with an Associate’s Degree in Tool and Die. She is now pursuing her Graphic Communications degree at NIACC in hopes of finding a career in art and design.
Artist Statement – I have always had a devotion for art since I can remember. In junior high, our school had amazing art classes. Jewelry, sculpture, watercolor, drawing, I took them all throughout high school. Since graduating from NIACC, I’ve learned how to run the machines and create projects out of metal. Now that I can go back to NIACC and pursue a Graphic Communications degree, new doors of opportunity have opened for me.
